In 2001, Don Abbott, MD, a physician trained in the nuances of disability claim assessments, identified an industry need for high quality medical input within the claim adjudication process. Professional Disability Associates was founded on a commitment to excellence and a promise to provide superior customer service, while delivering expert medical opinions on disability claims.

Today, the company supports 12 of the top 15 disability carriers, as well as many self-insured employers. PDA continues to provide an uncompromising dedication to the founding values, ensuring that each claim is given the attention and expertise required to deliver fair and impartial decisions. Additionally, we feel information security is of utmost importance and we work to protect our clients’ information every single day.
